Wild Blood 2

Dare to face a bloodthirsty predator on the slot from Play’n GO. Wild Blood 2 is the sequel to their original vampire-themed slot which was released in 2013. While it never reached the popularity of some of their other games, it provided a fitting canvas for a second episode of the intriguing tale about a seductive vampire and the three beautiful ladies Laura, Margaret and Rebecca. Vampire Bat Respins and three Bloodlust Free Spins modes with spreading wilds, progressive or accumulative multipliers can lead to wins of up to 5,000 times your bet.

Slot Details

Wild Blood II is a video slot with six reels, four rows and 4096 ways to win. Wins are awarded for three to five matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right only. Available on desktop and mobile, you can bet from 0.20 to 100 credits per spin. The game has medium volatility (5/10) with a default RTP of 96.18%. Some operators might offer the game with the secondary RTP setting of 94.14%, always read the help files to find out which version you will be playing.

A Victorian mansion surrounded by wavering fog is in the background of the enlarged semi-translucent game window that now accommodates six reels. Trees are planted on either side of the driveway leading to the mansion where supposedly the vampire is residing. The three main lady characters dominate on the reels together with the vampire who can appear in full height on reel six.

The pay symbols start at the low end with card royals from 10 through to A, awarding 2x to 3x your bet for a single six of a kind. They are followed by a silver knife stuck in a picture of the vampire, a human skull with a burning candle as well as the three ladies – Laura, Margaret and Rebecca. Hit six across the reels to win 3x to 7.5x your stake.

The vampire is the wild, appearing as a single symbol on reels two to five and as a full stack on reel six. It substitutes for all regular pay symbols. A blood vial acts as the scatter on this slot

Wild Blood 2 Slot Features

While the original Wild Blood slot was designed in a standard 5×3 format with just 15 pay lines, they not only added a reel to the sequel but also bumped up the number of payways to 4,096. And that is just for starters as they also included a range of features that evolve around the vampire and the three ladies.

Landing a stacked Vampire Wild symbol in full view on reel six will trigger one free Vampir Bat Respin. The stacked wild will move to reel one for the respin and all other five reels will spin one more time to potentially land a winner. Worth noting is that the stacked vampire wild on reel one does not count as four symbols as expected, it represents one wild only. The feature cannot be retriggered.

Hitting three, four, five or six scatters anywhere on the reels in one spin will award 10, 15, 20 and 25 Bloodlust Free Spins respectively. The game will lead to a second screen, presenting you with three options for your bonus round with an increasing volatility. You can pick any on every trigger.

  • Laura Free Spins: Any single wild landing on reels two to five will spread one position up or down. Triggering the Vampire Bat Respin will turn all Laura symbols landing on reels two to five on the respin into single wilds. The feature can be retriggered.
  • Margaret Free Spins: Every wild landing on the reels will be collected in a counter and increase the overall win multiplier by x1 for every four accumulated symbols, up to a maximum of x5. Each multiplier increase will award +2 free spins. Triggering the Vampire Bat Respin will turn all Margaret symbols landing on reels two to five on the respin into single wilds. The feature cannot be retriggered.
  • Rebecca Free Spins: Every single wild landing on reels two to five can reveal an x2 or x3 multiplier. More than one in a spin will be multiplied by each other, bringing the maximum win multiplier up to x81. Triggering the Vampire Bat Respin will turn all Rebecca symbols landing on reels two to five on the respin into single wilds. The feature can be retriggered.

Final Verdict

Play’n GO did a good job retaining the DNA of the original as well as the tale surrounding the characters. They increased the reel set and spiked the number of ways to win as well as changed the main feature to a selection of three bonus rounds, each with a distinct modifier. Overall, the win potential is capped at the Play’n GO usual of 5,000 times your bet which should be sufficient for any slot aficionado.
