Join the rope-swinging Lara Croft look-alike heroine for adrenaline-filled gaming sessions at Wixstars Casino. An intergalactic shower of slots, table games and Live Casino tables has descended on a sleek mobile-optimized site with a portfolio exceeding 1,000 titles, regular promotions, live chat support and a generous loyalty program.

Founded in 2016, Wixstars is the first brand of Romania-based Brightnet Srl and is operated as a white label casino by Aspire Global International Ltd under a licence from the MGA Malta. In the UK, the casino is operated by AG Communications Limited under a UKGC licence. Together, they ensure a safe and secure gaming environment under strict regulations for Responsible Gambling. Please note that players who have self-excluded from any other brand operated by Aspire Global or AG Communications will not be able to register an account with Wixstars.

24th Aug 2021: Wixstars Casino has closed its virtual doors! Feel free to browse through our list of tested online casinos for an alternative place to play.

The GMBLRS Detective

Reading the name might not let you think that Wixstars is an online casino but don’t be fooled as it is packed to the brim with slots and casino games from some of the finest providers. We counted over 20 studios but geo-restrictions could mean there are even 30+. Either way, there is well sufficient for everyone to find his or her favourites as well as plenty of new games to try out.

So far so good for Wixstars. After getting past the introductory pleasantries it is time to take a closer look at what is indeed on offer. Aspire Global is one of the largest operators with dozens of white-label casinos running on its platform out of Malta and the UK. And there comes the first downside as the webpage is a template designed for “one size fits all” which gives it a generic appearance. What makes matters worse is that the sorting options are virtually non-existent. There is a search function but that is how far it goes when one is looking for a particular game. Well, I guess it will be all fine once you get used to it.

The list of available games varies greatly based on your country of residence but generally, there is a good assortment available for everyone including NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Elk Studios, NextGen and more. Smaller studios such as NoLimit City, Foxium or Iron Dog Studios are also listed. The Live Casino tables are powered by Evolution Gaming.

We recommend checking the help files of slots from some providers such as Play’n GO or Pragmatic Play as the Aspire platform is known to list some with lower RTP settings. Offering customized RTPs is becoming more common these days as shown by the increasing number of operators joining the trend.

Signing up is a breeze as at most casinos, after all, operators want us to register and start playing as quickly as possible. It won’t be that fast for our UK friends as they will have to complete the KYC process before they are allowed to deposit (new regulations since May 2019). The welcome package is rather basic, however, it varies again on geo-location. What is the same for everyone are pretty poor bonus terms. Make sure to read them from start to the end as many games contribute only 50% to the wagering and a good chunk is restricted altogether.

Update 1st March 2021: Aspire Global introduced cashout limits of £/$/€500 for the welcome bonus and any other bonuses across all brands operated on their platform. Beware, players who have claimed the welcome bonus at a different Aspire Global-operated site might not receive the bonus at Griffon Casino. If in doubt, check with support.

Well, once you’re past all that, you can head to the banking lobby for your first deposit. The list of methods is extensive and includes credit/debit cards, e-wallets, mobile phone solutions and prepaid cards. Check with support as we have heard that a 2.5% fee is charged for both, deposits and withdrawals for some methods in some countries.

All players are enrolled in the networkwide VIP Club. It is based on your gameplay and the more points you collect the higher you will climb. It starts at Bronze level and goes all the way up to VIP Prestige Member. Each level is coming with increasingly better benefits and rewards, expedited withdrawals and other specials.

What we didn’t like at Wixstars are the withdrawal times. First, all cashouts are subject to 24 – 72 hours pending periods and then you have to add the time for the transfer to arrive in your account. From reports, we estimate that for e-wallets it should be around 24 hours while for bank and card transfers you are looking at least at one week to receive your winnings. Positive is that so far they have proven to be reliable payers, so if you can look past the longish periods, then all should be fine.

Customer support is offered via email and Live Chat under what they call CARE – Customers Are Really Everything. The chat is open from 7 am to midnight GMT. Response times for emails vary based on the time of the day or week. For your convenience, you can load the website in English, German, Finnish or Norwegian languages.

Wixstars as well as the entire Aspire Global group are committed to Responsible Gambling. A range of limits for deposits/losses / session time can be self-set within your account settings should you need them to control your gaming. Also available are TAB – take a break for up to 6 weeks – or self-exclusion for minimum six months. Please note that self-excluding from one site will block you from all brands running on this platform.

The GMBLRS’ Detective Verdict

I am always on the fence when it comes to recommending sites like Wixstars. While there is nothing inherently negative to report, there are a few issues that for some players will be stumbling blocks while others will be just fine. The casino runs overall smoothly, we haven’t found any problems with the games and the group itself has proven to pay reliably. So the basic stuff is OK but I simply must cringe when looking at the RTP values for some games or the long pending periods for withdrawals. As mentioned, all is good if you can live with those less than perfect parts.
