Dare to take a swim with one of the fiercest predators on the slot from 4ThePlayer, powered by Relax Gaming. 6 Wild Sharks is taking you on a highly volatile reel dive into deep waters for an encounter with the great whites of seas. Take control of your reel destiny with the new Wild Choice mechanic and trade spins for sticky wilds in the bonus feature that can lead to wins of up to 10,368 times your bet.
Update 26th August 2020: 6 Wild Sharks has been pre-released exclusively at LeoVegas Casino and sister brands in the LeoVegas group. It will go global across the Relax Gaming network on 10th September 2020.
6 Wild Sharks is a video slot with six reels, four rows and 4,096 ways to win. Pays are awarded for two to six matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right only. You can dive into the shark-infested waters on desktop or mobile from 0.10 to 50 credits per spin. The game has high volatility with a respectable RTP of 96.50%.
Considering the ferocity of the great whites, a rather serene and peaceful bay is opening up when you load the game. The translucent reels are semi-submerged into the waters, almost giving it an appearance of a floating pontoon. Two wild zones are marked in yellow-black bollard style while surfers, divers, sea creatures and, of course, fierce sharks are roaming across the reels. A puristic orchestra piece with wave sounds provides the main audio, although it gets intermittently interrupted by dramatic sounds and crescendos at various moments during the gameplay.

The pay symbols start off with the card royals from 10 through to A, awarding 1.2x to 2x your stake for a single six of a kind. they are followed by fish, manta rays (a stingray species), octopuses, divers and a surfer girl. Hit six across the reels to win 2.5x to 30x your stake. Naturally, the great white is the wild symbol, appearing in the two Wild Zones only and substituting for all regular pay symbols. A sea buoy acts as the scatter on reel three and four.
6 Wild Sharks Slot Features
With the sheer amount of new slots being released every week by dozens of game providers, we are served in most cases with more of the same, basically regurgitated formats with new graphics and maybe a few tweaks to the features. Rarely is something really new not only surfacing but actually making an impact in the casino community. All too often we see something very promising, be it a reel mechanic or an unusual game grid, only for it to disappear quickly into the abyss of wannabe blockbuster slots or undiscovered gems.
4ThePlayer has shown with their first creations that they are willing and daring enough to go into the unknown, presenting games that might have a commonly used format such as 6×4 with 4,096 ways but come with new mechanics and features built into the gameplay that makes them stand out of the crowd. While 9K Yeti was not bursting with novelties, they went all out with 1 Left Alive and 2 Gods: Zeus vs Thor, introducing unseen twists into the gameplay that engage players and bring a fresh breeze into casino lobbies. Unsurprisingly, we were waiting anxiously to find out what else the team at 4ThePlayer cooked up in their slot kitchen for their next creation. Time to take a closer look.
6 Wild Sharks appears at first as a standard 6×4 ways game but beneath the surface lingers a new mechanic that empowers players to personalize a gaming session according to their risk appetite and preferences. In Classic Mode, which is the default upon loading the slot, 6 Wild Sharks plays just like any other standard game.
However, clicking on Advanced Mode will activate the Wild Choice feature that allows players to place up to six locked wilds in any position in the Wild Zones. There are two of them encased in a yellow-black frame, covering reels 1 and 2 as well as 5 and 6. Each wild comes at an extra cost, so choosing wisely is highly recommended. In the base game, the selection can be changed before any spin. Basically, tap on any position in the Wild Zones to place or remove wilds at your pleasure, maybe with one eye on the playing balance. A warning message will pop-up should the total bet size increase significantly.
In general, locked wilds on the front reels will give you wins more often, while those on the back reels will lead to bigger wins when matching symbols land on the front four reels. The overall RTP remains unchanged, no matter which mode players are choosing. Any locked wilds in the base game will be carried over into the free spins.
Naturally, the bonus feature will play out differently, based on whether the game is in Classic or Advanced mode. To trigger it, you will need to land buoy scatters anywhere on reels three and four in one spin. Depending on the mode, players will be able to customize their free spins.
- Classic Mode – Wild Choice: An initial 15 free spins are awarded. Before the start of the round, players can trade locked wilds for free spins by taping again on the positions where they want to place a locked wild. The more locked wilds, the fewer free spins. The maximum of six wilds will leave you with 1 free spin, highly volatile but also with mega win potential. Alternatively, you can start playing the round without any locked wild but with the full amount of spins.
- Advanced Mode – Locked Wilds: 10 free spins are awarded with all locked wilds from the base game transferred to the bonus feature. No extra wilds can be placed.
Press the Spin button to start your feature with the created configuration. Any further shark wild landing in both of the free spin modes will be locked as well (at no extra cost) for the duration of the round. Landing two scatters during the round will add +3 free spins, no limits. Wins of up to 10,368 times your bet are up for grabs in a single bonus feature. You will need ample locked wilds and surfer girl symbols to land on the reels to achieve the feat.
Well, this was fun. Felt a little like assembling my own slot although it is imperative to keep a watchful eye on the total bet size when you start locking wilds in Advanced Mode. To be honest, I had more fun in Classic Mode, maybe because I am an old school slotter. Finding the right balance between free spins and locked wilds did have its suspenseful moments on each occasion. On the other hand, activating Advanced Mode with two locked wilds on the front reels will result in a payout on every single spin. For some reason, it started to get boring after a while as you know something will appear in each round. At the end of the day, mixing it up proved to be the most entertaining way to play with 6 Wild Sharks (pun intended).
