Loading the game will display the main reels set and four smaller sets on top that are greyed out. They will activate only when you hit a full pirate wild on the bottom screen which will trigger the Expanding Wild feature. First, the wild will expand on the main screen and then duplicate to all other reel sets. Any further wild in full view will also expand to reel height. Win evaluations are then made for all five reel sets and paid in one amount. The game will reset before the next spin.

Hitting three, four or five golden doubloon scatters anywhere on the reels in one spin will trigger 8, 12 and 15 free spins respectively. The difference in the bonus round is that any wilds landing in partial view on the upper reel sets will also expand. Final Verdict

As we are used to seeing poor graphics on Barcrest slots, we’ll judge it mainly on the gameplay. While it does have some exciting parts, we cannot excuse or overlook the different RTP settings. Any low to medium roller will be basically shafted as a slot with just 94% is bound to take your money much faster than on an RTP of 96%. It is also the main reason why Barcrest games rarely get more than a 3-star rating on our site.
