Get ready for another thrilling reel contest on the slot from Blueprint Gaming. Deal or No Deal Megaways The Golden Box is a sequel to the 2019 original that brought the immensely popular TV show to a set of dynamic slot reels. You can now make again your way up the Bonus Trail to trigger four bonus game modes. Pick boxes just like the contestants on TV to reveal cash prizes or free spins while the banker will jump in to entice you to give up on your quest to win the maximum of 50 free spins that could lead to wins of up to 25,000 times your bet.

Slot Details

Deal or No Deal Megaways Golden Box is a video slot with six dynamic reels, featuring  2 to 7 rows and 324 to 117,649 ways to win, using the licensed Megaways engine from Big Time Gaming. Pays are awarded for two to six symbols landing on adjacent reels from left to right only (more to that shortly). Available on desktop, tablet or mobile from 0.10 to 10 credits per spin. The game has medium to high volatility with an RTP of 96.00%.

The graphics are identical to the original DOND Megaways slot with the TV show stage together with the flashing spotlights in different colours integrated into the background of the giant Megaways reel set. The trail on the left indicates the progress towards triggering the main feature on the game with the Golden Box as a four option added at the top. A lively electronic soundtrack rounds off the slot design.

The pay symbols start at the low end with the card royals from 9 through to A, awarding 0.8x to 1x your stake for a single six of a kind. The premiums are coffee mugs, banker’s seals, golden envelopes and the famous Deal or No Deal boxes that contestants get to open during the show. Hit six across the reels to win 2x to 50x your bet. A red and gold coloured icon marked with the word itself is the wild symbol, appearing in the horizontal reel only while a question mark on a similarly coloured but brighter icon acts as the mystery symbol.

Deal or No Deal Megaways Golden Box Slot Features

Blueprint keeps extending its DOND franchise with another Megaways creation, surpassing the full dozen they have added to casino lobbies since they signed a licensing agreement with the rights holders, Endemol Shine Group. On this occasion, they are cranking up the potential by adding a golden box bonus game as the top feature trigger.

The Megaways game engine with cascading symbols and reactive wins is still at the core of the action, randomly selecting the number of bet ways for every spin. Two to seven pay symbols will appear on reels 1 & 6 as well as two to six pay symbols on the four centre reels. Additionally, the game has a horizontal scroll-like reel at the top of the game window with four positions, extending from reel two to five, where more symbols appear on every spin.

Wins are paid for adjacent symbols from left to right only. The symbols from a combination will trigger the reactive win mechanic where they explode to make room for new ones to drop into place, potentially starting a chain of wins within the same spin. It will continue as long as new wins occur after a cascade.

Deal or No Dead Megaways The Golden Box Bonus Game

Keep an eye on the Bonus Trail to the left of the game window (desktop version) as it is your path to the main events on Deal or No Deal Megaways Golden Box. Every winning cascade within one spin sequence will advance you by one step with the lowest bonus game level triggering after the fourth cascade. Any progress that does not reach the bonus game level will be reset at the end of a spin sequence. Get to any of the four bonus options and you will be entering the Deal or No Deal Bonus game according to which level you reached where you will play for cash prizes or free spins.

  • Four Winning Reactions – Deal or No Deal Bonus: Cash prizes from 1x to 10x your bet and 8 to 12 free spins, Bronze Box round
  • Five Winning Reactions – Deal or No Deal Super Bonus: Fewer cash prizes from 1x to 10x your bet and 8 to 20 free spins, Silver Box round
  • Six Winning Reactions – Deal or No Deal Mega Bonus: No cash prizes, only 8 to 20 free spins, Golden Box round
  • Seven or More Winning Reactions – Deal or No Deal Golden Box: No cash prizes, only 20 to 50 free spins

Deal or No Dead Megaways The Golden Box Picker

At the start of the bonus game, you will be asked to pick your lucky box which you will keep throughout the round. Each level will allow you a number of picks to eliminate boxes before the phone will ring to convey a banker’s offer for you to collect or continue. In the last stage, the final two boxes will move to the front, allowing you to open your chosen box to reveal the cash prize or the number of free spins.

The Bronze, Silver and Golden Box rounds will present you with three boxes to choose from. Each contains a random number of up to 50 free spins. Choose wisely as you only get one pick and no banker call.

During the feature, a random number of up to 100 Mystery Symbols are added to the reel strips. Any landing in view on a free spin will unveil a common pay symbol. Plus, the Progressive Multiplier will start at x1 and will increase by x1 after each winning reaction, no limits. Three or four phone scatters appearing on the horizontal reel will retrigger +5 and +10 free spins respectively, no limits.

Final Verdict

The Deal or No Deal franchise better known as DOND has been very good for Blueprint Gaming as the games proved very popular with players. Allowing them to go through the suspenseful moments of the TV-show on a slot contributed a good part to that success. The first Megaways version aged well and ranks regularly in the upper parts of the rankings, thus, the Golden Box sequel should be able to at least match that as it has an extra bonus game and a significantly higher win potential.
