Founded 2016 by two industry veterans, Kalamba Games is a game studio with headquarters in Malta and a development office in Krakow, Poland. Former Unibet executive Steve Cutler and ex-Quickspin head of game design Alex Cohen set out on a mission to create top-quality slots content with retention features that entertain players and promotional capabilities for operators that offer meaningful benefits for players. Together with a motivated team of talented game artists, designers, and game developers they built in a short period of time a compelling games portfolio.
The combination of substantial international experience and passion for innovation has helped produce outstanding HTML5 slots that all come with an array of achievement, retention and collection features to engage and reward the player. Vital partnerships for cooperation and game distribution were signed early on and include Relax Gaming, Oryx Gaming, iSoftbet and EveryMatrix. They also acquired the necessary licenses to operate in most regulated markets throughout Europe and beyond.
Given their market knowledge and experience, Kalamba Games was successful from the start in placing their games with major online operators. Some of the latest additions include Videoslots, the Cherry Group, the ComeOn Group, Hero Gaming, Casumo, the Unibet Group and the Bethard Group.
Within a matter of two years, they managed to stock up their games portfolio with more than a dozen titles, a remarkable achievement of such a young game studio that shows their determination to become a Tier 1 gaming content supplier. Some of the proprietary developments and tools that have been implemented into their games are in-game mission promos, in-game volatility selection and Hyper Bonus feature buy, which give players and casino operators a range of opportunities to personalize the gaming experience.
Among the released titles are Bangkok Dreams, Fire Eagle, Joker Supreme, Age of Dragons, Atlantis Thunder and Monkey God. In 2018, the developer signed a licensing agreement with Big Time Gaming for the Megaways game engine and the first slot under the agreement is due for release in Q1/2019 under the name of Machina Megaways.
