Slot Details

Walk of Shame is a video slot in a 3-4-4-4-4 format with 768 ways to win. The number can further increase via the xSplit mechanic. Pays are awarded for three to five matching symbols landing on adjacent reels from left to right only. You can join the opulent party on desktop, tablet or mobile from 0.20 to 100 credits per spin. The game has medium volatility with a default RTP of 96.04%. Lower models are offered at 94.04% and 92.12%.

The visuals are maybe not too impressive for everyone. Party props, pop music and four strange characters bend on getting wasted for the night are at the centre of it all. A smiling Mr E makes will make an occasional appearance on reel one to split symbols horizontally or vertically. Those used to shocking designs from Nolimit City might be even slightly disappointed.

The pay symbols start at the low end with a range of empty drink glasses, awarding 1x to 1.25x your bet for a single five of a kind. They are followed by four characters on yellow, violet, green and red icons. Hit five a cross the reels to win 1.5x to 5x your stake.

Mr. E lands on reel one only and will transform into an xSplit symbol. Further, any character landing fully stacked will turn into an x4 Loaded Wild. Lastly, an envelope marked with Mr E acts as the Invitation scatter on reels two to five.

Walk of Shame Slot Features

One can hardly believe that Nolimit might still be able to release a slot with less than extreme volatility. San Quentin or Tombstone R.I.P. are just two of their typical creations that took variance and volatility to new levels. However, we were proven wrong, maybe. Apparently, Walk of Shame is placed in the medium category. Caveat and spoiler alert, just as medium is the overall win potential, thus let’s take a closer look if we want to join this opulent reel party.

Walk of Shame xSplit
Walk of Shame – Mr. E xSplit

The entertainment and big win potential on Walk of Shame are supplied by two common mechanics that we have seen repeatedly on Nolimit City slots. First, is the Mr. E scatter which can appear on reel one only. In the base game, it will transform into an xSplit symbol adding multipliers to all symbols either vertically on the reel or horizontally on the row. However, it cannot split Invitation scatters.

The second modifier is the Loaded Wild. Land any character fully stacked on reels two to five and they will expand to cover the entire reels as an x4 wild. Hitting both in the base game, Mr. E on reel one and at least one Loaded Wild, will trigger the Walk of Shame feature. The game will respin at no cost until one Loaded Wild reaches reel two. All wins are accumulated and paid once the feature ends.

Landing three or four Invitation scatters anywhere on the last four reels will trigger 10 and 15 One More!!! Free Spins respectively. Hitting one to four during the bonus round will retrigger between +1 and +7 extra spins, no limits. The difference to the base game is that any Loaded Wild will increase the win multiplier by x1 which will not reset until the end of the feature. Mr. E making an appearance on reel one will upgrade the round to the All Nighter Free Spins and award +3 spins.

Walk of Shame Free Spins
Walk of Shame – All Nighter Free Spins

Hitting Mr. E and three or four scatters in the base game will trigger 10 and 15 All Nighter Free Spins. The same retriggers for +1 to +7 spins are available. Mr. E will stay sticky in position and activate the xSplit mechanic on every free spin, splitting symbols either vertically on reel one or horizontally on the same row.

Any Loaded Wild will also increase the win multiplier by x1 and may trigger the Walk of Shame feature. Free Spins will not decrease while respins are in process. Should Mr. E split the symbols horizontally, then any Loaded Wild will carry an x8 multiplier. The feature ends when you run out of spins or hit the max win of 9,822x bet. For the latter, the game will start the Happily Ever After! animation.

No surprise, Nolimit City included again a range of Bonus Buy options to suit any type of player and wallet. It starts at 69x bet for 10 One More!!! Free Spins and topping out at 314x bet for 10 All Nighter Free Spins. Alternatively, you can spend 131x your bet for a random choice, giving you odds of 75:25 for the One More!!! or All Nighter round. The default RTP for all options is slightly higher, ranging between 96.18% to 96.45%.

Final Verdict

Happily Ever After! or not. While the max win has rather high odds of 1:4 million spins, it won’t be an opulent party or a happy ending for most players. The graphics and animations may provide the usual Nolimit entertainment, but the gameplay is rather benign, especially in the base game.

To a certain extent, only a Walk of Shame feature stands a realistic chance for bigger wins, be that in the base game or free spins. However, those looking for a game that is not as brutal to the balance as other Nolimit City slots might grow on Walk of Shame. Here’s to your Happily Ever After!
