Recommended Casinos to play xWays Hoarder xSplit
xWays Hoarder xSplit is a video slot with five reels, three rows and 243 ways to win as default. Throughout the gameplay, the number of ways can increase up to a maximum of 95,760 (more to that shortly). Pays are awarded for three to five matching symbols landing on adjacent reels from left to right only. You can try to be the best hoarder on desktop, tablet and mobile from 0.20 to 100 credits per spin.
The game has maximum volatility (10/10) with a default RTP of 96.14% and a hit frequency of roughly 1:5 spins. Beware, some operators will offer the DX1 version with a lower RTP setting of 94.10%. Using the Bonus Buy feature (where allowed) will get you an RTP range between 96.38% – 96.68% depending on what Free Spins mode you decide to purchase.
xWays Hoarder xSplit is set in a post-apocalyptic grubby bunker setting following a nuclear fallout. Three hoarders hold excess stocks of toilet roll, fuel and moonshine whilst two mysterious characters Dr Dwayne and Gorgon Geiger seek to eradicate the others in the Bunker Raid free spins to feature as the only characters and related symbols in the number-plate styled Wasteland FR3E 5P1NS.
Easy listening bunker themed and blues-infused Rockabilly music, with that tinny radio sound effect you might hear broadcast through a tannoy system, cleverly adds to the edgy theme. Low gas, flat tyre and expired food tickets make up the no-win animations in Nolimit City style. Big win animations elevate through post-apocalyptic customised vehicles from a shopping trolley to a jet fighter-mounted tank and hitting the max win to be crowned the “King of Sh:t”. A dead raccoon, gas-masked dove and mushroom cloud epic win animation add to the borderless and crazy graphics now synonymous with some Nolimit City games.
The pay symbols begin with fallout treasures of toilet roll, a bottle of moonshine, fuel can, medikit and Geiger counter as the lows, which pay up to 0.25x your stake for five of a kind. Each low paying symbol is matched with their hoarders, Terry Trash (Hovenburg), Michael the Moonshine King, Karen, Dr Dwayne and Gordon Geiger, respectively, which award from 0.30 to 1 times your bet for five of a kind.
Green radioactive xWays symbols feature on reels 2, 3 and 4 only, from 2 to 4 symbols in height, to reveal random matching symbols. Rusty razor blades, two symbols high, feature on the last 3 reels only in the base game and stand for xSplit Wilds, which convert to regular wilds, as bags of roadkill flavour No Limit crisps, following activation. Radioactive warning Scatter symbols feature on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, changing to gas-masked Super Scatters if hit by an xSplit Wild. Landing three or more scatters will trigger the Bunker Raid Free Spins.
xWays Hoarder xSplit Slot Features
Not many game studios have experienced a meteoric rise to fame comparable to Nolimit City. And they show no sign of taking their foot off the gas. Cue in xWays Hoarder xSplit which introduces yet another mechanic to players. xSplit joins xWays, xNudge and xPays, plus wild and infectious variations and enhancers of each. Together they build a catalogue of popular x-trademarked mechanics which Nolimit City has in the meantime successfully licensed to other developers. While not strictly new since the same Razor symbols were used in San Quentin xWays, xSplit comes on this occasion with an extra twist.
So, let’s dissect the fundamental mechanics of xWays and the new xSplit Wild symbols that are core to the gameplay. But before we do, remember denominations shown as x2, x3 or 792x and such for both mechanics, multiply the number of symbols and thus increase the number of ways to pay on each reel.
Featured in both the base game and Bunker Raid Free Spins, xWays symbols can land on reels 2, 3 and 4, each marked with x2, x3 or x4, which indicates the number of hidden symbols. Once the reels stop, all in view will split into their denomination and unveil a common regular pay symbol. Super scatters, which we will explain shortly, also convert to xWays symbols if they are split by xSplit Wilds, but only when the free spins feature is not triggered on the same spin. This mechanic can create an astonishing increase in ways to pay with matching symbols for some heavyweight wins, as seen on previous titles such as San Quentin xWays.
Occurring in the base game only, xSplit Wilds feature on the last three reels. Upon landing, they slice across the reels to their left, splitting symbols in two as they go, and doubling the number of symbols they pass through. Should more than one xSplit Wild land in the same row on another reel, the symbols double again, displayed by an x2 or x3, e.g. the maximum of xSplit Wilds on reels 3, 4 and 5 would double each symbol three times, resulting in some rows with six symbols on reels 1 and 2 – shown as two symbols with an x3.
When xSplit Wilds slice through xWays symbols, the xWays multiplier will be doubled for every split. In this game, a single xSplit Wild features on reel three, with a twin-stack featuring on reel four, and reel five carries a triple-stack of xSplit Wilds with a potential to propel across all reels from right to left, splitting all three rows of symbols into six.
Landing three or more scatters will trigger the Bunker Raid Free Spins. Three scatters trigger 7 free spins and four scatters begin a round of 10 free spins. When an xSplit Wild lands on the triggering spin and crosses a scatter symbol, it transforms into a super scatter. At the start of the feature, any super scatter will convert to a locked xWays symbol along with any symbols beneath. Any further xWays symbols appearing will turn sticky too and award an extra spin, randomizing their symbol count of x2, x3 or x4 on every free spin.
Each locked xWays symbol will drop to the bottom of the reel unless already occupied by another – in which case the symbols merge in a stack on the reel. Every third xWays symbol appearing will complete one of three Hoarder Level Ups, removing one character and their hoarded pay symbol from the reels for any remaining spins:
- Hoarder Level 1 | 3 sticky xWays: Removes Terry Trash and his toilet rolls from the reels – the lowest paying character and object.
- Hoarder Level 2 | 6 sticky xWays: Removes the Moonshine King and moonshine bottle from the reels – the second-lowest paying character and object.
- Hoarder Level 3 | 9 sticky xWays: Removes the final hoarder Karen and her fuel can symbol from the reels and triggers entry into the Wasteland Free Spins
The Wasteland Free Spins take you up and out the bunker elevator into the radioactive wilderness for any remaining spins with Dr Dwayne, Gordon Geiger, the medikit and the Geiger counter as the only symbols on the reels. All nine xWays symbols now merge across the reels for a giant symbol selected from the four available.
Each of the nine merged xWays icons randomly calculates its number of symbols – x2, x3 or x4 – for each remaining spin. The factors multiply each other across the reels from left to right for the total betways, displaying it the appearing giant symbol, e.g. x12 for three merged xWays symbols on reel 2, x9 on reel 3 and x8 on reel 4 will mean 12 x 9 x 8 = 864x ways to pay.
Reel one then teasingly spins to a slow stop for a potential match before reel five does the same. The maximum win potential is capped at 11,030 times your bet. Any feature in progress will instantly end once the threshold is reached and crown you as the best hoarder of all, the King of Sh:t.
Dive straight into the radioactive features of xWays Hoarder xSplit with the Nolimit Bonus Buy feature with four different scenarios to pick from. Not available in jurisdictions where Bonus Buys are restricted. As usual, we recommend to be cautious when using the options as the Free Spins are very volatile and low payouts from the features could quickly diminish your playing balance.

It’s hard not to be impressed with the creative train of Nolimit City slots and the success of their trademarked ‘x’ mechanics over the last few years. xWays Hoarder xSplit shares graphics and the cheeky comical qualities of San Quentin xWays and twists the xSplit symbol (debuted in the same game) into an xSplit Wild.
We took xWays Hoarder xSplit for a test run of 1000 spins, during which it had a similar feel to San Quentin xWays with results as shown below. Please note that our limited demo play should never be used as a benchmark due to the small amount when compared to actual testing. One thousand spins is a fraction of the millions and billions of simulation spins necessary to achieve Theoretical RTP.
- 2 Bunker Raid Free Spins triggers: Both standard 3 scatter triggers, one after 613 spins, the other on the 758th. Both reached Level 1 Hoarder and the first awarded 233.6x stake, the last – a teasing 11.75x stake.
- The base game yielded 0 wins over 100x, two over 50x and a handful around the 10x bet range.
- The overall RTP was 89.22% which is well within the range for the limited number of spins.
