A group of experienced and talented developers and industry professionals founded Old Skool Studios in 2010 in the scenic Canadian city of Vancouver. With a passion for unique and exciting games, they set out as a sub-contractor for Rocket Gaming, GameHouse, EA, Zynga and BC Lottery and established themselves from the start as a producer of high-quality games. In 2013, it led to the development of three Steampunk Windows Mobile Apps for software giant Microsoft.
Their games were first hosted on the now defunct Odobo platform. When Odobo folded in May 2016, Old Skool Studios moved their content to Microgaming’s Quickfire and White Hat Gaming platforms. This proved very beneficial for the young game studio as its slot creations became available at a large variety of online casinos.
After earning their laureates as sub-contractor for slots like Magic of Isis or Dragon King, Old Skool Studios released their first in-house slot in 2014. Called Epic City, it was launched exclusively at Unibet and became an instant hit with players. The game is a video slot with five reels and 20 pay lines, featuring a 5-stage power bonus that kicks off with a dramatic lightning storm. The slot appeared at more reputable online brands such as LeoVegas, Mr Green and Bet365 the soon the exclusive period expired with Unibet.
True to their mission to envision games they would love to play, and then set out to create beautiful, engaging, story-driven features and themes, Old Skool Studios has continued its rise to a respected and widely known game studio. They do not mass-produce games; hence, you won’t see a new release every few weeks. Quality over quantity is their signature mark, with all games being developed in HTML5 format that allows play on all mobile and desktop devices in portrait and landscape modes across all OS platforms. Marking their international appeal, Old Skool Studios slots are available in 24 languages.
Following the success of Epic City, they went on to release more games such as Jewel Quest Riches, La Rouge and Temperance. Plus, they kept creating exclusive games like Egyptian Legend for Casino Cruise or King of Kaiju: Rampage Riches for UK betting giant Gala/Coral. Their latest release, Temperance, first released on the White Hat Gaming platform before going global on Quickfire. The game is a steampunk-themed slot with five reels and 20 fixed pay lines that is set in a retro-futurist underwater city and is a tribute to the popular BioShock video game. A 5-stage Survival Bonus game awards coin wins while the Free Spins round includes win multipliers of up to x10. With a maximum win potential of 4,900 times the stake it has roared into many favourites lists from players around the world.
