Recommended Casinos to play Beastwood
Beastwood is a video slot with a default 3×4 format and symbol multiplier pays. Wins are awarded for minimum three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the first. You can join the monster hunt on desktop, tablet or mobile from 0.20 to 100 credits per spin. The game has maximum volatility (5/5) with a default RTP of 96.11%. Lower models at 94.19% or 87.15% are offered, always check the game rules for the active RTP.
The beast hunter’s trophy room serves as the background in the base game. Countless skulls from slain monsters, a fire place with an opening in the form of a beast mouth and a monster rug in front of it are witness to the determination and success of the pirate-turned-hunter. Triggering the free spins will take you into the foggy forest to join him on his next monster pursuit.
The pay symbols start at the low end with card royals from 10 through to with symbol values between 0.15x and 0.25x your bet. They are followed by four beasts in light blue/pink, green, orange and red colours as well as the beast hunter himself. The symbol payouts range from 0.5x to 2.5x your stake. A golden W is the wild, substituting for all regular symbols while a red stamp seal marked with Bonus acts as the scatter.

Beastwood Slot Features
Beastwood is the first slot from Quickspin to feature the Endless Reels mechanic. Some might point out that it looks awfully similar to Reeplay’s Infinity Reels as seen for example on Money Mariachi Infinity Reels. Let’s take a closer look if there are indeed more similarities than differences.
The Endless Reels mechanic is starting with a 3×4 grid that will see more reels being added to the right as long as a winning combination is further extended, ad infinitum so to speak. All winning symbols are locked with a golden chain throughout a spin sequence. This first part is indeed rather similar.
Does the payout calculation differ then? Yes and no is probably the best answer. The total win from an entire game round is based on multipliers and not the number of matching symbols landing throughout a spin. To start it all off, you will need to hit matching symbols on all 3 default reels. A display will pop up on the left (desktop) displaying the current Symbol Win Multiplier and the amount of scatters if any appeared.
The next reel is then added to potentially land more matching symbols. Having just one per reel will award 1x its value from the paytable but this can be improved by raising the Symbol Win Multiplier. There are two ways to increase it:
- Symbols: Land 2, 3 or 4 matching symbols on the same reel and the Win Multiplier will be multiplied by x2, x3 and x4 respectively.
- Reel Multiplier: In the base game, starting with the 5th every third reel will have an x2 multiplier. Land a matching symbol on such a reel and the current Symbol Win Multiplier shown in the display will be multiplied by x2.
The game will keep adding reels as long as matching symbols land on the new one. Having more than one appear will again multiply the Symbol Win Multiplier and so on. The same will happen when you reach reel 8, 11, 14 etc. Once no new matching symbols appear, the shown Symbol Win Multiplier will be multiplied by the paytable value for the symbol to calculate the total payout for the spin sequence.
Collecting 4 scatters by the end a game round concludes will trigger 10 Free Spins. Any further will add +3 spins to the tally. During the feature, every scatter appearing will award +1 free spin, no limits. The feature plays out rather similar to the base game. However, every reel starting from the 4th will have now the x2 Reel Multiplier, providing the opportunity for much bigger payouts.
A Bonus Buy option is included for players residing in unrestricted jurisdictions. The cost to directly enter the Free Spins is 120x your base bet. Once confirmed, the game will start a spin that will guarantee to land at least four scatters. The RTP for Bonus Buys is slightly higher at 96.38% (default version).
Beastwood is a testament to the graphics team at Quickspin. The visuals are stunning and to the point throughout the gameplay. Highlighting winning symbols, adding multipliers or scatters to the collection meters and the ensuing animation are all part of the high-quality design. The gameplay itself is entertaining as the buzz of repeatedly adding multipliers keeps you on the edge, especially when premiums are involved.
However, I do expect some reaction from Reelplay who have taken on NetEnt in a previous case regarding Infinity Reels and the Swedish gaming giant got the short end. Whether Quickspin can show sufficient differences will be a matter of opinion for everyone. I think they are cutting it awfully close.
