Embark on an adventure into the magical world of Ali Baba on the slot from Red Rake Gaming to secure the vast treasures amassed by the 40 thieves. A 1×4 tall Morgiana Wild, a Wins Tornado that will clone reels and a Sesame free spins round with sticky golden symbols can lead to wins of up to 3,000 times your bet.

Slot Details

The Adventures of Ali Baba is a video slot with six reels, six rows and 50 fixed pay lines. Wins are awarded for three to five matching symbols from left to right only. Delve into your reel adventure on desktop or mobile from 0.30 to 60 credits per spin. The RTP of this medium variance game is set at 95.20%.

A village with a royal palace in the midst of a desert oasis brings an air of the popular folk tale about the poor woodcutter Ali Baba and the 40 thieves to a set of slot reels. Red Rake Gaming went to great efforts to create an authentic design that reflects in all parts down to the pay symbols and soundtrack.

The pay symbols start at the low end the card royals from J through to A in Arabic writing style. A single five of a kind pays 1x your bet. They are followed by daggers, oil lamps, vases, oasis icons, the thieves’ cave entrance, bags of gold coins and the gorgeous Morgiana Wild. The latter can appear in single sizes up to 1×4 symbols high. Hit five on a line to win 1.5x to 5x your stake. Ali Baba holding one letter of the word “Sesame” on each reel acts as the scatter symbol.

The Adventures of Ali Baba Slot Features

The slot comes with some interesting mechanics for reel modifiers and bonus round triggers that will help create bigger wins and can lead to the free spins features.

The most common you will encounter is the Wins Tornado, which can trigger randomly at the end of any spin in the base game. It will clone one reel to the left of the triggering reel if it leads to a winning combination or improves an existing one.

Just like in the folk tale, Open Sesame will grant you entry to the main feature on this slot. It is triggered either by landing six Ali Baba scatters across the reels in one spin that spell out the word “Sesame” or via the Open Sesame respins. A minimum of three scatters will see them being locked in place and the other reels respin to potentially hit more scatters. The respins continue until now new scatters land or you have all six in view.

Both options will trigger an open-end Free Spins round, which will end only when the thieves appear. An accumulator on the side of the game window will act as some sort of feature guarantee and will fill up with the wins from all free spins. The thieves can appear once the meter is filled and the total win exceeds 15 times your stake.

During the free spins, the golden coin symbols become sticky while all other positions spin as normal. Hitting multiple golden coin symbols in adjacent positions will see them form 2×2 and 3×3 fusion symbols, which will multiply wins by x2 and x4 respectively. Any standard line wins are paid as usual and the free spins continue until the thieves appear. A final spin is then awarded before the round ends.

Final Verdict

In the folk tale, Open Sesame was the secret code to gain entry into the thieve’s den where they hoarded vast treasures from their plundering tours. The question that comes up now whether those treasures are just as valuable on the reels of The Adventures of Ali Baba.

A full screen of sticky golden coins will pay 300 times your stake and that includes already the maximum multiplier. Certainly doesn’t sound like the riches the thieves were hiding in their den but it can add up to a multiple of that if the thieves do not instantly appear once you hit a full screen.
