Vault of Anubis
Enter the ancient treasure chamber to discover eternal winnings on the slot from Red Tiger Gaming. Vault of Anubis is taking you on a high-volatility reel adventure through Egyptian mythology on a 7×6 grid with cascading symbols, reactive wins, supersized symbols, a random Generous Gods feature and a Vault Spins round that can lead to wins of up to 5,469 times your bet.
Vault of Anubis is a cascading grid slot in a 7×6 format with cluster pays. Wins are awarded for five or more matching symbols landing connected in a cluster, either horizontally and/or vertically. You can enter the sacred treasure vault on desktop or mobile from 0.20 to 10 credits per spin. The game has high volatility with a default RTP of 95.74%. With the slot being a LeoVegas exclusive at the moment, there should be no other versions with lower RTPs around. However, once it goes global there will be some operators offering it with secondary RTP settings in the 92 – 93% range.
Guilded stairs leading to the entrance of the sacred vault guarded by two giant jackal statues are opening up when you load the game. The entrance flanked by eternal flames is covered by the 7×6 game grid, which is populated by typical symbols from Egyptian mythology. A heart-wrenching soundtrack is occasionally interrupted by the usual reel and win count noises.
The pay symbols start at the low end with five crafted gemstones in orange, purple, blue, green and red colours, awarding 60x to 200x your stake for a cluster of 30 or more symbols. They are followed by a green scarab, a crook & flail icon – the symbol of pharaohs, the Eye of Horus and Anubis himself. Hit clusters of 30 or more symbols to win 225x to a huge 750x your stake.
An intricate winged icon with golden ornaments and marked with the word itself is the wild symbol, substituting for all regular pay symbols. A Vault Spins symbol acts as the scatter.
Vault of Anubis Slot Features
Core to the gameplay is the cascading symbol mechanic that we know from typical grid slots. Red Tiger has a slight variation in that the three middle positions on the top row are not filled with symbols, instead, they placed a collection meter for the scatters in that spot. Considering that, you will have at the start of a spin sequence 39 symbols dropping onto the grid and will need to land clusters of minimum five symbols that are connected vertically or horizontally to score a winner. All symbols from the combo will shatter, letting new ones tumble into place. Hit another winner and the process is repeated until no new winning clusters land after a cascade.
Helping you on your quest to gain entry to the treasure vault are two modifiers. First, all premiums can appear as 2×2 or even 3×3 Super Symbols, making it easier to get a winning cluster and keep the sequence going. More than one Super Symbol can land at the same time. The second modifier, called Generous Gods feature, can trigger randomly at any time during a spin. Either or both statues flanking the grid can suddenly awake and place a number of wilds on random positions on the grid.
While the game has good win potential in the base game, the bigger treasures are hidden in the Vault Spins feature. You will need to collect four Vault Spins scatters within a spin sequence to trigger 10 free spins. During the round, a Bonanza-style progressive multiplier is in play, starting at x1 and increasing by x1 after each winning cascade, no limits. A new +Spins scatter symbol is added to the reels that will award up to 8 extra free spins whenever it lands, again, no limits.
As usual for Red Tiger Gaming creations, the game is a feast for the eyes with regards to the visuals and animations. Perfectly executed, it conveys the Egyptian theme in an impressive manner. As for the gameplay, well, it is your usual high-volatility grid slot with ample features to keep things interesting. The big potential will come in the Vault Spins round when you manage to increase the progressive multiplier early on in the feature.
Vault of Anubis is currently exclusive at LeoVegas Casino and its sister site Royal Panda, but we anticipate for it to be released networkwide at some point in the future.
