Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine
Watch the fabled inventor come back to life on the slot from Yggdrasil, developed by Rabcat and exclusively distributed on the YGS Masters platform. Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine takes you directly into one of his labs around the turn of the 20th century where the eccentric scientist would experiment on his countless inventions surrounding electricity and wire-free transmission.
The slot is the second title to be released on Yggdrasil’s YGS Masters platform where select partner studios present their creations. Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine comes with a host of electrifying features such as three Energy Boosts and a free spins round with up to five levels that can lead to wins of up to 1,000 times your bet on a single spin.
Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine is a video slot with five reels, three rows and 25 fixed pay lines. Wins are awarded for three to five matching symbols on a line from left to right in the base game and both ways in the free spins round. Enter Tesla’s lab on desktop and mobile from 0.25 to 75 credits per spin. The game has low to medium variance with an RTP of 96.20%.
Most of us might just remember having heard of Nikola Tesla during our school years but probably can’t name exactly what he became famous for. He was one of the mad scientists around the turn of the 20th century that were out-competing each other in the race to electrify the world. Tesla specifically gave us the AC electricity supply system without which many of our daily appliances wouldn’t exist in their form today.
Naturally, the slot designers set the game window inside one of his then futuristic labs where he would spend most of his time working on his inventions. The reels are held by a range of electrical coils which send beams across the reels on winning spins or during the bonus features. A suspenseful soundtrack rounds of the rather spectacular design.
All pay symbols including the wild can appear stacked at all times. They start with the card royals from 10 through to A held in a mechanical device at the low end, awarding 0.40x to 2x your stake for a single five of a kind. They are followed by capacitors, goggles and watches at the high level. Hit five on a line to win 4x to 40x your bet.
Tesla himself is the wild symbol, substituting for all regular pay symbols and awarding as well 40x your stake when five land on a line. A brightly illuminated icon marked with “Free Spins” acts as the scatter symbol.
Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine Slot Features
Get ready for an electrifying show as the bonus features will energize the reels in a base game and a free spins round. It starts off in the base game with the Energy Burst feature that will trigger when you hit a full stack of regular pay symbols on reel three. The card royals will award three respins while the premium symbols will crank them up to five. For the respins, the game randomly selects one of three reel modifiers that will significantly increase the chances to hit big wins.
- Exploding Wilds: Two or three sticky wilds are placed on random positions for all respins.
- Wild Substitution: Before the start of the respins, the game randomly selects either A, the capacitor or the goggles. Any occurrences of the selected symbol landing on a respin will turn into a non-sticky wild symbol.
- Reel Clone: Three reels ( 1-2-4, 1-3-4 or 2-3-4) are synchronized for all respins.
Prepare for some serious electrical arching when you trigger the free spins. Three, four or five scatters will award 8, 10 and 12 free spins respectively, which cannot be retriggered. During the feature, wins are paid both ways, plus, you will benefit from sticky wilds.
At the start, only one sticky wild will be placed on the centre position of reel three. Any Level-Up scatters landing on reel one or five in a free spin will increase the level displayed at the top by +1 and add a further sticky wild to a position directly adjacent to the sticky wild in the centre. Reaching level five will lead to a cross-like pattern of sticky wilds on reels two, three and four.
To date, Rabcat wasn’t exactly known to deliver spectacular, nail-biting games. Slots such as Castle Builder I and II were released on Microgaming’s Quickfire platform and didn’t find many fans. Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine is quite a leap forward in graphics, entertainment factor and win potential. Still, the variance is rather low which might appeal to some but maybe not to the hardcore casino community.
