The adrenalin-pumping slot is the first branded game from Yggdrasil after signing a licensing deal earlier this year.

Nitro Circus is a troupe of action sport professionals formed by motocross legend Travis Pastrana that travels across the globe with a show where they perform some crazy stunts on all sorts of things on two and four wheels with dirt bikes being the most commonly used vehicle.

Slot Details

Yggdrasil has now produced a video slot that brings the action, the stunts and vehicles onto a set of five slot reels with 25 fixed pay lines. And it promises to be a crazy slotting adventure with Nitro Free Spins, a Nitro Blast mini game and the Nitro Jump bonus game. Bet sizes range from 0.10 to 125 credits while a generous RTP of 97% puts the game into medium variance territory.

The slot is visually stunning as expected from this game provider. The backdrop of the frameless game window is the arena of the show, complete with jumping pads, spotlights and the roaring crowd cheering in the background. One of the performers can be seen jumping through the screen periodically.  On the left of the game window is a collector for four different vehicles, which will award one run on the Nitro Jump course once five have been accumulated.

The pay symbols include three differently coloured helmets and four of the main performers of the show. Hitting five on a pay line will award two to 20 times the stake. A burning flame is the wild symbols, substituting for all symbols except bonus symbols. Nitro Bombs are the bonus scatter which will trigger the free spins or the mini-game.

Nitro Circus Slot Features

The name itself calls for plenty of action on the reels and Yggdrasil happily obliged. From a hard rock soundtrack to a whole array of features, there will be no room for boredom on Nitro Circus.

The first and most apparent feature is the Nitro Blast mini game. It is triggered when only two Nitro Bomb scatters land anywhere on the reels in the base game. The game leads to a second screen, displaying five bombs with various prizes. Four will randomly explode and the prize on the last bomb will be awarded. The choices on the bombs are 10, 20 or 30 free spins, a Nitro Wild which will add three to nine wilds to the current spin or one of the four vehicles which will add one to the player collection in the display on the left of the game window.

The second feature is the Nitro Free Spins round, triggered by minimum three Nitro Bomb scatters. Three, four or five scatters will award 10, 20 or 30 free spins. The round is played with a starting multiplier of x2. Triggering the Nitro Blast mini game during the free spins can increase the multiplier or add more free spins. The final multiplier is applied to the total winnings at the end of the round.

Next in line is the Vehicle Collection. A collector display with four vehicles – bathtub, reclining chair, mini car and rocking horse – can be seen on the left of the game window. Accumulating five identical vehicles will award the Nitro Jump bonus game with the collected vehicle. Each vehicle has its own characteristics and benefits such as bigger boost for longer jumps, better tricks to collect more items during the jumps and more, representing different risk and win potential levels.

The final and often most lucrative feature is the Nitro Jump bonus game where players are awarded one run on the stunt course. The bonus game is triggered either by landing the five characters of the word Nitro across the five reels or via the Vehicle Collection. When triggered in the base game, the player is offered a choice of vehicles – an FMX motorbike, a BMX bike and a scooter. Each has again its own characteristics and benefits. When triggered via the Vehicle Collection, the bonus game is played with the triggering vehicle.

The bonus game consists of three training jumps and one final boost jump. Each warm-up jump awards a coin win from five to 300 coins, based on what tricks are performed. While leaping through the air, players can also collect extra prizes – 25 coins, speed boost for final jump, increased win multiplier and vehicles that will be added to the collection.

As the racer approaches the final jump, the game offers up to three extra speed boosts which the player can activate manually. Too much speed could jeopardize the landing and losing the final multiplier, too little speed could see him crash before reaching the landing pad. If all goes normal, the racer sets down on a landing pad with final win multipliers illuminating as he slows down. The highlighted multiplier after he stops will be awarded and the total coin win accumulated on the course multiplied by up to x30.
