The transition is completed and as you may have immediately noticed, our domain ends now with .COM instead of CO.UK to reflect our global approach that will appeal to all players from around the world. Nothing else has changed during the upgrade, so don’t worry, your screenshots, profile and other settings have all been transferred to the new domain.
This change has been in our longterm plans and we felt that now was the right time to get it done. Far too many casino brands have voted with their feet on the latest changes in UK regulations and we wanted to stay involved with these developments. Still, nothing to worry about as we kept all the old familiar UK casino sites, although in the future they will be separated into a dedicated list. Our flag icons on each casino brand will be a clear indication where you can play, no matter if you are from the UK, Germany or Sweden.
Why change? As mentioned above, an increasing number of casino brands have decided to leave the UK market and no new ones seem to be jumping into the void to replace them. On the other hand, new good and trustworthy sites are launched every month under a MGA Malta or other licenses and we have had loyal readers across Europe and beyond from the start of our GMBLRS community. The URL change will avoid confusion and inconsistent marketing material that might apply to just one or the other country.
Adapting to .COM in the future will allow us to have collaboration opportunities with a much wider range of casino brands and operators, which will be in the interest of our readers as it will allow us to launch more campaigns in the coming weeks as well as extend on our news articles that will now cover the larger geographical reach.
In the very short period since launch, GMBLRS has become already one of the top five casino gaming sites in the world thanks to our members and readers. To serve everyone equally, be it players from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Indonesia, Canada, Sweden or Norway to name just a few countries, it makes little sense to be tied to a country specific URL and thus we decided to initiate the transition to the .COM domain.
