Founded in 2017, Northern Lights Gaming aims to bring an otherworldly gaming experience just light the sight of the Aurora Borealis, which served as inspiration for the name of the young game studio. Young they may be, but they will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years as their founders can look back to 50+ years of combined experience at other leading game providers, casino operators and other industry related companies. Plus, they hired a small but just as experienced team of designers, developers, programmers and graphics artists that sign responsible for their slot creations.

With offices in Manchester, UK and Stockholm, Sweden, they design their games for global markets but with a focus on the vital UK market. The young game studio received a first huge boost when they signed a distribution deal with UK giant Sky Betting to supply games to their Sky Vegas online casino.

In line with what other newcomers are doing when they enter the fast-growing gaming industry, Northern Lights signed collaborations agreements with some of the big players to supply gaming content. To date, they did so with Yggdrasil and SG Digital, giving them opportunity to gain a reputation for high-quality content that will be soon seen on the platforms of those two major game providers. They were granted licences from the UK Gambling Commission and Alderney Gaming Core Services Association, ensuring their games are available in regulated markets in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Naturally, their games catalogue is not extensive yet as they focus on high-quality games that are engaging for players and provide high win potential. As of late 2018, they had two games to their name, Rocky’s Gold and Electric Wilds. The latter is a fusion of a classic slot and modern bonus features. It is designed in a 3×3 format with five fixed pay lines and an RTP of 96.12%.  Playable from as little as 0.10 credits it features lightning overprint symbols that are collected in a separate matrix that will turn regular pay symbols into wild symbols once a line on the matrix is completed.
