Founded in 2012 by two industry veterans, The Games Company or in short TGC entered the competitive world of online gaming with a mission to surprise players. Both, Hans Winkelmann and Ian Matthews, held executive position at betting giant BWIN before setting out to start their own game studio in central London, UK. A dedicated development team is housed in Portugal. Their focus is on high quality games that can be played on mobile, desktop and tablet by using the modern HTML5 standard.
While their own portfolio is not huge, TGC has produced dozens of bespoke games for clients in and outside the casino market. A deal with NYX and William Hill saw their full portfolio going live at the UK gaming giant via the NYXX Interactive platform. One of their external project saw them produce in 2014 two video slots – Football Crazy and Road to Rio – for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which were released exclusively via the Odobo platform. And they did not stop there. In 2016, they signed game server software specialist, Black Cow Technology, in order to power their new Remote Gaming Server that allows them to deliver their own games as well as from third parties directly to virtually any casino operators around the world.
The Games Company is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, allowing them to offer their games in most regulated markets.
